Skelly

Skelly was a motion doodle I wanted to create to play with the idea of that feeling of listening to your favorite song. Directly inspired by the Iconic Japanese woodblock tryptic Sōma no furu-dairi, also known as Takiyasha the Witch and the Skeleton Spectre by Utagawa Kuniyoshi. I first illustrated the skeleton with bold lines and simple design in Illustrator, and then imported the layers into Adobe After Effects where I animated the Skeleton head-bobbing to music on his pink iPod, along with bright pink earbuds.
